Terms of service

Last updated 13 October 2026

These Terms of service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Pythie regarding access to the website pythie.eu and the Pythie application (the “Service”). Please read them carefully. By creating an account, joining the waitlist where it creates a contractual relationship, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Pythie allows you to ask questions in natural language about publicly available web data and receive numeric answers, visualisations, tables, and links to source pages, subject to plan limits.

The Service may include:

- • Interactive Q&A and chat-style interfaces

- • Scheduled monitoring and alerts

- • Exports (CSV, XLSX, integrations) on eligible plans

- • API access on eligible plans

We may add, change, or remove features, especially during the private beta. We will use reasonable efforts to communicate material changes.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and able to enter a binding contract.

If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation. The organisation is responsible for its users’ compliance with these Terms.

3. Accounts & security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account.

Notify us immediately at ghom@pythie.eu if you suspect unauthorised access.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, pose security risks, or abuse fair-use limits.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

- • Use the Service for unlawful purposes or to violate third-party rights

- • Target sites in ways that breach their terms of use, circumvent technical access controls, or ignore robots.txt where applicable

- • Send excessive automated traffic, attempt to probe or disrupt our infrastructure

- • Upload malware, harass staff, or scrape the Service itself without permission

- • Misrepresent outputs as human professional advice (legal, medical, financial) without independent verification

- • Resell or sublicense the Service except as expressly allowed on Team/API plans

We may investigate violations and cooperate with authorities when required by law.

5. Web data, accuracy & disclaimers

Outputs depend on public pages available at the time of your request. Websites change, block access, or contain errors. Pythie aggregates and computes in good faith but does not guarantee completeness, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose.

Not professional advice. Pythie is an information tool. It is not a substitute for licensed legal, financial, tax, or other professional counsel.

Your decisions. You remain solely responsible for how you use outputs, including compliance with laws governing republication of data, competition, and intellectual property.

Third-party sites. We are not responsible for third-party content, availability, or policies.

6. Beta programme

During the private beta, the Service is provided as is, may contain defects, and may be unavailable without notice.

We may:

- • Limit invitations, questions per month, alerts, or API calls

- • Reset or migrate data with notice where feasible

- • Change pricing before general availability; paid plans will show price before charge

Feedback you provide may be used to improve the product without obligation to you unless a separate agreement says otherwise.

7. Plans, billing & taxes

Free, Pro, and Team plans are described on the pricing page. Paid subscriptions renew according to the billing cycle you select unless cancelled.

Prices are shown excluding VAT unless stated otherwise; applicable taxes are added at checkout for EU customers where required.

Refunds follow our published refund policy at launch; during beta, contact us for billing issues. You may cancel renewal in account settings or by email.

8. Intellectual property

Our IP. The Service, software, branding, and documentation are owned by Pythie or licensors. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your internal business purposes during your subscription.

Your content. You retain rights to questions and data you upload. You grant us a licence to process your content solely to provide and improve the Service, consistent with the Privacy policy.

Outputs. Subject to third-party rights in underlying web data, we grant you the right to use exports for your internal business purposes. You must respect source websites’ terms and applicable law when republishing.

9. Confidentiality & privacy

Our Privacy policy explains how we handle personal data. Security measures are described there; you agree to handle any exported data in compliance with GDPR and other laws applicable to you.

If you receive access to non-public beta features or roadmaps, you agree not to disclose confidential information without permission.

10. Warranty disclaimer

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law:

- • Pythie shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, or goodwill

- • Our aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) €100 for free users

Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or liabilities that cannot be limited under applicable law (including mandatory consumer rights in the EU).

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Pythie harmless from claims arising from your misuse of the Service, your content, or violation of these Terms or third-party rights, except where caused by our intentional misconduct or gross negligence.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach, risk, or discontinuation of the product.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. Provisions that by nature should survive (liability limits, IP, governing law) remain in effect.

14. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by French law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

If you are a consumer in the EU, you benefit from mandatory protections of your country of residence and may bring proceedings in your local courts.

Otherwise, exclusive jurisdiction is attributed to the competent courts of Paris, France, subject to mandatory rules.

We encourage you to contact ghom@pythie.eu first to resolve disputes amicably.

15. General

If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. Failure to enforce a right is not a waiver.

These Terms, the Privacy policy, and Cookie policy constitute the entire agreement regarding the Service unless a separate written agreement applies to enterprise customers.

We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger or sale; you may not assign without our consent.
